Oxford men come away victorious from Varsity Duathlon!

The OUTriC men's blues team put on a strong performance to win the Varsity Duathlon very convincingly!

Luke Grenfell-Shaw won the race almost a minute ahead of the next competitor. The next finisher was Ollie Crossley, who sadly is an Oxford alumnas and not a current student so could not be included in the results. Joe Bowness came next, with another strong performance. John Gardner had a great race to be the last man in the winning Blues team, showing huge improvement in just one term. We're excited to see what he does when triathlon season starts!

Unfortunately, the women's side was poorly contended, with many of our female athletes injured or ill. However, Cecilia Karlsson represented Oxford well, coming 3rd overall, and there were strong performances from novice athletes Rachel Anderson and Laura Clark to complete the Blues team. This was not enough to get the win - Cambridge (unexpectedly) had many more female athletes than us and raced well to win solidly.

We're looking forward to summer, when our many dramatically improving athletes will have a chance to show what they can do!
